A pro-vaxx article that gets into more detail. I don't care for the statement that there are devious intentions in raising the question of why placebo's aren't use much anymore as this is a reasonable question. Whenever you portray the opposing side as sinister, you undermine your own credibility and what tends to follow is a lightweight argument. Nevertheless, there are worthy details here; although much of it is propaganda. By that I mean it has the usual fixation on the polio vaccine of 70 years ago (it's not so simple and the industry has become corrupted since then) and the Danish study on MMR.

What Is a Randomized Clinical Trial?

First, we need to understand what goes into running a double-blinded randomized clinical trial (RCT). In such a trial the group of participants is randomly assigned into either a control group or an experimental group. This assignment is completely at random, and the people going into either group are not aware of what group they’re in. The researchers also do not know what group the participants are. The intention behind this is to obtain experimental and control groups that are similar to each other in every way, such as age, gender or ethnicity.

SIDS caused by a vaccine: Federal Court Decision

In this case, I have concluded, after review of the evidence, that it is more likely than not that the vaccines played a substantial causal role in the death of J.B. without the effect of which he would not have died.  The role of inflammatory cytokines as neuro-modulators in the infant medulla has been well described and is likely the reason for a significant number of SIDS deaths occurring in conjunction with mild infection.  I have concluded that it is more likely than not that the vaccine-stimulated cytokines had the same effect in this vulnerable infant during sleep.

Unvaccinated children have by far the best chance of enjoying marvelous health

In England, Michel Odent, M.D. showed in two studies that children having received no Pertussis vaccine had 5-6 times less asthma than those who were vaccinated for it.  The first study was on 450 babies from La Leche League; the second on 125 children in a Steiner school. Throughout Europe, a group of mostly paediatricians studied 14,893 children in Steiner schools in Austria, Germany, Holland, Sweden and Switzerland and found that children living in "anthroposophist culture" (where vaccination is largely shunned) were in better health than the controls. (2)  In Germany, one of the European Steiner schools study researchers wrote, "In the eastern part of Berlin before the fall of the wall, we saw less allergies than in the west.  This population was poorer, closer to nature and less vaccinated."

As a concerned, compassionate and considerate paediatrician, I can only arrive at one conclusion.  Unvaccinated children have by far the best chance of enjoying marvelous health.  Any vaccination at all works to cripple the chances of this end.

"Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) has occurred in infants following administration of DTaP vaccine. By chance alone, some cases of SIDS can be expected to follow receipt of PEDIACEL."
