The vaccine is not worth the risk

In 1960, three years before the first measles vaccine was approved for use in the U.S., there were approximately 442,000 reported measles cases and 380 related deaths10, 11 among the 3.5 to 5 million Americans who likely were infected with measles. 12 13 In 1969, measles deaths were estimated at 1 in 10,000 cases.14

US population:
Jul 1, 1960
180.67 million

That's about 2 in a million dying from measles.

So tell me why we need a vaccine for this?
